Detailed Description
Equipment: Roughly a keeper zone worth of space, one hoop or some cones, 3 dodgeballs, 6 brooms
Setup: Hoop or cone circle roughly in the middle of drill space, beaters split evenly into 2 teams, one dodgeball starting each side and one in the middle of the field.
Objective: Maximize the time a member of your team is occupying the hoop space. Work on communication, positioning, technical skills, and partnered decision-making in beater v. beater interactions.
One beater from your team can stand in the hoop if your team has dodgeball control. If a player is beat, they ‘tag in’ at their end of the field and are replaced by the next beater in their team’s line. Play is continuous for set interval of time.
